We've played this game just a few times so far, but we're happy with the purchase. Unlike 'Pandemic', this one has a lot of story behind, it's less schematic. The six scenarios allow you to change a bit, so you don't get bored. It's very difficult to win, but that's not the point. It's fun, and this is what counts. Many things can surprise you and make you lose at the very last moment, like a weather event, lack of food, a beast in the camp.
The only weak point are the instructions. Read them carefully, and consider the first one or two round of the game as a way of learning how to play it. They could be written in a much clearer way, it takes some effort to 'digest' all the information. There are many components (cards, tokens, possible events) in this game to consider. It's nice if one of the players has some experience with board games, so you can put him/her in charge of explaining the rules to the others. But don't let anyone boss you, here you all collaborate!
Consider also that setting the board and all the cards takes some time (about 10 minutes in our experience). It's convenient to set the game in a place where you can leave it, if you want to stop, and play later.
Anyway, it's a great game, and it offers a nice alternative to watching TV in the evening.
